With a small investment, you can reach financial goals for the future. Term Certificates and Individual Retirement Accounts keep your money growing with an interest rate that’s guaranteed for the whole term. Choose from a variety of terms.

Term Certificates

A Term Certificate pays a higher dividend rate for investing your money for a locked period of time. We have many terms for everyone, from three months to five years with a $500.00 minimum balance. Dividends are compounded and paid to your account monthly. You may elect to have your dividends transferred to another account at the credit union; or we can send you a dividend check monthly. There are no annual maintenance fees on Term Certificates.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

Traditional IRA

The Traditional IRA is an account which allows you to defer taxes on your earnings until they are withdrawn. Also, certain contributions are tax deductible in the year they are made. There are no annual maintenance fees on IRAs.

Roth IRA

The Roth IRA is a nondeductible account that features tax-free withdrawals for certain distribution reasons after a five-year holding period. Since Roth IRA contributions are nondeductible and taxed in the year they are earned, people who expect to be in a higher tax bracket when they retire may benefit more from these accounts than from a Traditional IRA. There are no annual maintenance fees on IRAs.

Education IRA

The Coverdell Education Savings Account IRA is a nondeductible account that features tax-free withdrawals for a very specific purpose - a child's higher education expense. At first glance, the Coverdell Education Savings Account IRA looks similar to the Traditional and Roth IRA's. After all, higher education distributions are permitted from these accounts as well. The crucial difference is that while qualified higher education distributions from a Traditional or Roth IRA are penalty free, the same distributions from a Coverdell Education Savings Account IRA are penalty free and tax free.
